DJ MARKET TALK: Liffe Sugar Mixed, Consolidates 1006 GMT [Dow Jones] Liffe white sugar futures trade mixed, with the market continuing to consolidate after recent sharp losses. The question is "do we find a bottom around here with some physical off take or do we keep falling?" says London-based broker. "There're signs of some kind of floor here," after several days of consolidation, says broker. Adds "confidence is fragile" and physical off take will give market participants more confidence that the prices have stabilized. May -$1.60, or 0.3%, at $539.60/ton. New York's most-active raw sugar futures -13 points, or 0.7%, at 19.26 cents a pound.
