DJ MARKET TALK: Liffe Sugar Edges Up On Tight Supply Forecasts 1257 GMT [Dow Jones] Liffe white sugar futures trade just above the flatline, supported by fears of a tightening supply/demand balance, says Sucden. UK sugar analyst Czarnikow Tuesday cut its predictions for the 2010-11 crop from a surplus to "equilibrium," underscoring weather risks in the coming year. The difference between the October and December contracts is narrower at $47.80, with estimates for the number of long postions to be rolled over at between 7,000-9,000 lots, says Sucden, leaving prices "likely to continue sideways to higher." December +$2.60, or 0.5%, at $531.90/ton.
