DJ MARKET TALK: ICE Sugar Hits New 6-Month High; Funds Buy 1257 EDT [Dow Jones] - ICE October sugar is racing to new six-month highs Thursday, supported by continued speculative fund buying and bullish fundamentals. The lineup of ships in Brazil waiting to load sugar for export has grown to 116 vessels, from 110 last week, as bottlenecks remain in the world's top sugar producer and exporter. Weather issues around the world are expected to keep supplies tight, while demand strengthens. Volume is estimated at 73,740 contracts traded. Nearby October raw sugar is up 0.44 cent, or 2.2%, to 20.93 cents a pound.
