Bundaberg Sugar denies it has been deceitful in negotiating a new contract with employees, according to the Australian Broadcasting Corp.
Unions are threatening industrial action after accusing management of not being open and giving sufficient warning when tabling the latest work agreement, which offers a 3.5% wage rise but dumps rostered days off.
General manager of operations at Bundaberg Sugar, David Pickering, says everything was laid on the table.
"All those changes are listed on one page summary which is listed in the document provided to the unions and to the employees, so every single change and the page number it's on are all listed," he said.
"There is an explanation document for the employees that actually explains all the changes as well, so that was all provided by notice as required by law."
