RUSSIA: 2010 sugar production from raws at 124,700 tonnes to March 1

Russia produced 124,700 metric tonnes of refined sugar from imported raws between Jan. 1 and March 1, 53% less than in the corresponding period last year when 265,600 tonnes was produced, according to Dow Jones.
During the period, Russian sugar refineries received 207,100 tonnes of imported raws, compared with 127,600 tonnes a year ago. They processed 127,300 tonnes of imported raws, compared with 271,800 tonnes a year earlier.
Remaining stocks of imported raws at sugar refineries on March 1 totaled 116,900 tonnes, compared with 277,600 tonnes on March 1, 2009.
