INDIA: Shree Renuka sees 450,000 tonnes sitting at ports

India has 450,000 metric tonnes of raw sugar and 150,000 tonnes of the white variety lying at ports that can be exported, according to Bloomberg.

"When the new season starts, the first priority will be to crush domestic cane," instead of refining the imported raw sugar, Narendra Murkumbi, managing director of Shree Renuka Sugars Ltd., told reporters in New Delhi. The sugar stuck at the ports can be shipped overseas, he said.
