RUSSIA: 2010 sugar production from imported raws at 229,700 tonnes to March 15

Russia produced 229,700 metric tonnes of refined sugar from imported raws from Jan. 1 to March 15, 34.7% less than in the corresponding period last year, when 351,600 tonnes was produced, according to Dow Jones.
Russian sugar refineries received 324,100 tonnes of imported raws during the period, compared with 132,000 tonnes a year ago. They processed 239,500 tonnes of imported raws, compared with 360,500 tonnes a year earlier.
Remaining stocks of imported raws at sugar refineries on March 15 totaled 128,700 tonnes, compared with 250,400 tonnes on March 15, 2009.
