FAO Sugar Price Index down 19.1% in March due to covid-19 and fall in oil prices

Global sugar prices fell by 19.1% in March from February due to lower demand amid the coronavirus outbreak and the impact of a fall in oil prices on ethanol production, according to the Sugar Price Index of the UN’s Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), reports Sugaronline.
