DJ MARKET TALK: ICE Sugar Ends Down; Short-Covering Pares Losses 1435 EST [Dow Jones] - ICE raw sugar futures settled weaker, but trimmed losses from seven-month lows as traders covered short positions, an analyst says. May sugar settled down 63 points, or 3.1%, at 19.69 cents a pound, off the 18.82-cent low. The prospect of incoming Brazilian supplies is weighing on prices as sugar stumbles back from 29-year highs hit in February, analysts say. End-users are reluctant to buy as they await lower price levels. Liffe May white sugar settled down $18.20, or 3.4%, at $537.10 a ton.
