DJ MARKET TALK: Liffe Sugar Rises On Light Volumes Of Activity 1032 GMT [Dow Jones] Liffe white sugar futures trade higher on thin volumes in early trading. "It's time for consolidation" after the volatility of recent weeks, says London-based broker. "There's talk of a lot of inquires on the physical market but as yet it has not translated into sales," says broker. Adds importers will be looking for further price consolidation before making purchasing decisions. May +$8.10, or 1.5%, at $540.70/ton. New York's most-active raw sugar futures +31 points, or 1.6%, at 19.34 cents a pound.
