DJ MARKET TALK: Liffe Sugar Directionless With NY Markets Closed 1037 GMT [Dow Jones] Liffe white sugar futures are flat in directionless trade as NY is closed for the Labor Day holiday. Markets are expected to remain quiet due to a lack of newsflow, taking a pause before trading resumes tomorrow, says a trader. However, the increase of long positions in NY, according to CFTC data, and London's strong performance in recent weeks point to further potential to the upside, he says.
