GERMANY: Beet test shows sugar content down to 14.2%

The second national German sugar beet test of the 2010/11 crop showed an average sugar content of 14.2%, down from 
17.2% for the same test last year, according to Dow Jones.

This is below the 10-year average (2000-2009) of 16.1%.
 
The WVZ is a Bonn-based private consultancy that coordinates the beet tests across Germany. The results of the
sugarbeet tests, conducted Sept, 3, compared with the same results for the 2009/10 crop and the 10-year average were
as follows:
