The Bahamas' Health and Wellness minister Michael Darville has said the government plans to implement new legislation that will create a tax for sugar and excess salt, according to The Tribune.

THE BAHAMAS: Sugary drinks ban in schools and healthcare from Dec 1

1st November 2019

From Dec 1 all sugary drinks will be banned from Government health care facilities and public schools in the Bahamas, Health Minister Dr Duane Sands announced on Oct 30, according to Jamaica Observer.
