The Dominican Republic is expected to produce 580,000 metric tonnes of sugar in the 2026/27 season (Oct-Sept), up from 550,000 tonnes estimated for the current 2025/26 season, amid stable rainfall conditions during the first half of the year, according to the USDA's Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS) post in Santo Domingo.Tags: Production, estimates, industry, USDA
