China: Sugar Annual

China’s marketing year (MY) 2026/27 sugar production is forecast to continue growing to reach 12.7 million metric tons (MMT).

MY 2025/26 sugar production is estimated at 12.6 MMT, 1.1 MMT higher than the USDA official estimate based on increased cane sugar production, particularly in Guangxi province. China’s sugar consumption for both MY 2025/26 and MY 2026/27 remain unchanged at 15.8 MMT.
