On Friday, the NY July 2026 contract fell for the sixth consecutive session, shedding another 9 points to close at US$ 13.70 c/lb, accumulating losses of 44 points on the week. The perception of ample sugar availability in the global trade flow in the short term continues to cap any more meaningful price reaction. The scenario remains underpinned by comfortable supply from key exporting origins such as Brazil, Thailand, and Guatemala.
