Pakistan Doubles Sugar Import Tariff, 6th July 2015

All of USDA’s sugar reports in one place: a mix of monthly Sugar and Sweeteners Outlooks, import/export data and international GAIN reports. Using data collected by US Foreign Service officers working in more than 130 countries the USDA’S Global Agriculture Information Network (GAIN) reports provide timely information on the agricultural economy, products and issues in foreign countries that are likely to have an impact on United States agricultural production and trade.

<p>During that period, Pakistan exported an estimated 470,000 metric tons of sugar at an estimated subsidy cost of $47 million.&nbsp; Pakistan's sugar export quota is oopen through July 15 and is currently 650,000 metric tons. </p>
