All of USDA’s sugar reports in one place: a mix of monthly Sugar and Sweeteners Outlooks, import/export data and international GAIN reports. Using data collected by US Foreign Service officers working in more than 130 countries the USDA’S Global Agriculture Information Network (GAIN) reports provide timely information on the agricultural economy, products and issues in foreign countries that are likely to have an impact on United States agricultural production and trade.

<p>In MY 2010/11, total sugar production is estimated at 11.2 MMT (raw value), down two percent because of frost damage. &nbsp;For MY 2011/12 sugar imports are forecast at 2.2 MMT (raw value), a 15 year record high on rising domestic consumption and consecutive years of low sugar production.</p>
