10th November 2009

All of USDA’s sugar reports in one place: a mix of monthly Sugar and Sweeteners Outlooks, import/export data and international GAIN reports. Using data collected by US Foreign Service officers working in more than 130 countries the USDA’S Global Agriculture Information Network (GAIN) reports provide timely information on the agricultural economy, products and issues in foreign countries that are likely to have an impact on United States agricultural production and trade.

The reference price is the price that should be used to calculate sugarcane payments for the MY 2009/10 crop as well as payment to producers. The reference price is 6,579.21 pesos per MT (U.S. $495.42/MT) and approximately 57 percent of that price is paid to sugarcane growers.
