Dry Spell Significantly Reduces Grain Yield Expectations in Spain – 03/07/2014

All of USDA’s sugar reports in one place: a mix of monthly Sugar and Sweeteners Outlooks, import/export data and international GAIN reports. Using data collected by US Foreign Service officers working in more than 130 countries the USDA’S Global Agriculture Information Network (GAIN) reports provide timely information on the agricultural economy, products and issues in foreign countries that are likely to have an impact on United States agricultural production and trade.

<p>While precipitation levels remained at good levels until mid-spring, the combination of dry and warmer weather prevailing since mid-April has dried out the soil surface.&nbsp; The reduction of yields is expected to be significant in Central-East Spain, the North-West grain producing areas still hold yield potential.&nbsp; Southern regions only report small output reductions.&nbsp; Overall grain
