USDA Sugar Reports

May 26 2008 | Mexico | Modifications to the Mexican Sugar Re-Export Program

30th May 2008

All of USDA’s sugar reports in one place: a mix of monthly Sugar and Sweeteners Outlooks, import/export data and international GAIN reports. Using data collected by US Foreign Service officers working in more than 130 countries the USDA’S Global Agriculture Information Network (GAIN) reports provide timely information on the agricultural economy, products and issues in foreign countries that are likely to have an impact on United States agricultural production and trade.

It now requires food manufacturers who import sugar under the IMMEX program to export the final processed product process within six months of the date of purchase of the imported sugar. Before the sugar containing product had to be exported within eighteen months of the date of purchase.
