Mexico: Sugar Annual

Post forecasts Mexico’s sugar production for marketing year (MY) 2026/27 (October 1 – September 30) at 5.45 million metric tons raw value (MMT-RV), 1 percent higher than the estimate for MY 2025/26.
The increased production forecast is based on seasonal rains during the previous MY and a continued recovery of the planted area in MY 2026/27. The National Committee for the Sustainable Development of Sugar Cane (CONADESUCA) has not yet published an official MY 2026/27 forecast. Sugar consumption for MY 2026/27 is forecasted to decrease 1 percent
