All of USDA’s sugar reports in one place: a mix of monthly Sugar and Sweeteners Outlooks, import/export data and international GAIN reports. Using data collected by US Foreign Service officers working in more than 130 countries the USDA’S Global Agriculture Information Network (GAIN) reports provide timely information on the agricultural economy, products and issues in foreign countries that are likely to have an impact on United States agricultural production and trade.

Estimates for MY 2009 are slightly higher. Based on official data, consumption remains near 340,000 MTRV. The U.S. TRQ allocation for MY 2008 was totally filled. The allocation for 2009 is 185,335 MTRV (same as 2008), will likely require sugar imports to meet domestic demand. A new EU Economic Trade Agreement for the Caribbean region
