The situation in the Philippine sugar industry is deteriorating by the day while weather is impacting the Australian crush and potentially the Thai crop.

Over the past month, Thailand and Australia, normally the main drivers in the region, have taken a back seat as the Philippines’ ‘will they - won’t they’ import saga has been playing out, with still no end result. Vietnam has announced new restrictions on imports from ASEAN countries which will mean new challenges for sourcing
