Thailand’s sugar outlook is turning weaker as crop stress and shifting farm economics reduce supply, with a potential ethanol push adding further downside risk to sugar availability.

While the Thai sugar industry is closing a relatively strong 2025/26 season—with a cane crush expected at 96–98 million tonnes—the outlook for 2026/27 is turning decisively weaker.
