BAHAMAS: Government says no sugar tax will be implemented anytime soon

The Prime Minister of the Bahamas, Philip Davis, said on June 5 that a tax on sugar-sweetened drinks in the country wouldn't be implemented in the near future, according to The Nassau Guardian.

THE BAHAMAS: Sugary drinks ban in schools and healthcare from Dec 1

1st November 2019

From Dec 1 all sugary drinks will be banned from Government health care facilities and public schools in the Bahamas, Health Minister Dr Duane Sands announced on Oct 30, according to Jamaica Observer.
